As a result of Russia’s missile attacks on Nikolaev, Ukrainian athlete Svetlana Malkova’s mother, Elena Sivanich, also became a victim of the attack. The latter is currently in Germany, where it has qualified for the 2024 Olympics, the press service of the Ministry of Youth and Sports said in a statement.

It is known that the regional center was attacked the previous day, March 21. One of the enemy targets hit an industrial facility, killing one person and wounding six others.

55-year-old Elena Sivanich died in the attack of the invaders. She was the mother of Ukrainian athlete Svetlana Malkova. The woman died while her daughter was in Cottbus, Germany, as part of Ukraine’s trampoline team.

The World Cup starts today, March 22; This competition has been granted a license to participate in the 2024 Olympic Games. Information about the death of her mother was published on social networks by Svetlana’s sister Elena.
