WhatsApp has announced that due to the latest updates implemented in the app, this will no longer be available for more than 40 phone models from September 30.

“Devices and software change frequently, so we periodically review the operating systems we support and make updates accordingly,” the company clarifies to justify ending support for certain specific models.
