Launch Kamikaze drones in three waves: OK “South” reveals a new strategy of the RF Armed Forces

The Russians are trying to destroy their air defense systems to freely attack critical infrastructure with their drones.

Russian troops are launching Iranian kamikaze drones in three waves to inflict further damage on Ukraine. This was expressed in a single telethon broadcast on December 28 by Natalia Gumenyuk, spokesperson for the Joint Coordination Press Center for the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, the NV website reported.

According to him, the Russian Armed Forces are trying to defeat the Ukrainian air defense system, which is quite effective in shooting down Iranian Shahed kamikaze drones. To increase the effectiveness of the attacks, the Russians first launch the first wave of UAVs to detect air defense systems on the territory of Ukraine, the second wave should destroy them and pave the way for the third wave, which targets critical infrastructure, energy included.

Natalya Gumenyuk added that Russia recently launched Shahed UAVs from a new batch it bought from Iran. These drones are not much different from their predecessors, which the Armed Forces of Ukraine learned to shoot down in 85-90% of cases. For example, during the last major offensive, the Ukrainian air defense system dropped all devices as it continued to approach.

On December 22, Natalya Gumenyuk reported that Iran has transferred to Russia a new batch of 250 kamikaze drones, according to the Southern Defense Forces. In a matter of weeks, the Russians managed to get around 50 of them trying to find loopholes in Ukraine’s air defense coverage.

It was learned yesterday that Ukrainian engineers developed a fighter jet to destroy Shahed. Quadcopters can fire shells at Russian equipment, reconnaissance in open spaces and buildings, and also play the role of “kamikaze”,
