GUR scouts received special Ukrainian Akinci aircraft: features revealed (photo)

According to the volunteers, the hexacopter and drones were developed specifically for scouts. Both UAVs are resistant to electronic warfare.

Units of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine received new domestically produced Raider unmanned aerial vehicles. This was reported by the press service of the charity “Port Frankivsk” on Facebook.

In November, the voluntary organization announced two collections of drones specially designed for Ukrainian intelligence officers by order of the head of the GUR, Kirill Budanov: the Raider hexacopter and the Raider VTOL unmanned aerial vehicle. A few days ago, GUR specialists carried out the final calibration of the aircraft and set off to fulfill combat missions.

Reconnaissance aircraft Raider VTOL with vertical take-off and landing is estimated at 1.3 million hryvnia. It can fly up to 30 km and transmit video from the thermal imaging camera.

Raider hexacopter could fly up to 15 km in reconnaissance mode or 8 km with a payload of up to 4 kg, it also received a thermal imager and its cost was about 700 thousand hryvnia. The developers claim that both drones are resistant to electronic warfare.

“Let’s be honest: drones for power steering are one of the hardest and slowest projects to implement, but we also hope for the most effective projects of our fund,” said Port Frankovsk. “The enemy will suffer, be afraid, and most importantly die.”

Earlier, they wrote that Ukraine is developing a reconnaissance aircraft called “Sorcerer”. In December, aircraft modelers from Dnipro announced the start of mass production: if all the necessary components are available, the team can produce 200 aircraft per month. The drone shoots video from 350-400 meters altitude and is then examined by the military.

Recently, Ukrainian engineers began to assemble the first attack aircraft “Inquisitor”. They got the first details from abroad, including the carbon fiber frame that will make the device go undetected for radars. The “Invisitor” can lift 82-caliber mines, VOG-17 and RKG-3 bombs to drop on the Russians.
