Lancia, the first taste of the concept car. Presentation at Milan Design Week March 03, 2023 1

In 2024 Lancia a new chapter in its history will begin with the launch of a new generation of Ypsilon. This will be the first model new recovery strategy Italian brand. It looks like before that the automaker intends to show concept that anticipates some of the content that we will find in the future on his cars. The concept that will be presented during the next Milan Design Week which will take place in April.

The release does not add any details about this concept other than confirming when it will be presented. However, from a LinkedIn profile CEO Luca Napolitano a teaser was released showing the rear of the car. This could be the first taste of the concept car, which will arrive in just over a month.

The image allows us to spot some aesthetic elements taken from the “Lancia PU+RA Zero” sculpture that the Italian brand unveiled last November. As we know, the automaker decided to anticipate some of the elements of its new design language with specific sculpting rather than using a classic concept car.

So the new teaser lets you notice the presence the same round led lights view of the PU + RA Zero and the inscription “LANCIA” in full. The same inscriptionEmotion Pu+Rasuggests that there is an obvious connection to the sculpture presented in November. It remains to be seen if it will be a sculpture again, perhaps with features from a real car or a real concept car. Therefore, it can still be once a simple exercise in style. In a little over a month, we will know much more. However, it is possible that before the presentation, Lancia will provide some additional clues.

NEW LANCIA IPSILON

Thus, the new concept may not be closely related to the future new Lancia Ypsilon. However, we already know some first details about this model. In 2024 a new Upsilon will be presented with 100% electrified engine. Therefore, under the hood we will find hybrid units. There should also be an electric version.

Lancia’s new relaunch plan will then continue into 2026 with the launch of a new flagship and in 2028 with the long-awaited debut of the new Delta. From 2028, the brand will only sell new 100% electric vehicles.
