Therefore, Stellantis has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (dtic) to set up a manufacturing facility in South Africa.
The signed agreement stipulates that the new plant will be built in the South African Special Economic Zone (ZES). The aim is to complete this production project by 2025. This new plant will allow Stellantis to strengthen its presence in the Middle East and Africa.
