Civil Affairs Ministry says summons won’t be sent through ‘Diya’: it could ruin the brand

Developers fear that the innovation could frighten users and damage the brand’s reputation.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine will not initiate the distribution of subpoenas in Diy due to an agreement with the Ministry of Defense. Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Fedorov mentioned this to the Pressing project.

According to Mikhail Fedorov, the service of issuing a subpoena could damage the reputation of the Dii brand, which the Ministry of Digital Development wants to do “the best service for the world.” Developers meticulously create and test new products for the liking of Ukrainians, and such a novelty can frighten users.

“There are other means to distribute the agenda. We see that these are not always the best, but we are living a total war, we need to protect the country. Even though we do not plan an agenda in DIY, this is our common denominator.” Strategy with the Ministry of Defense,” the minister explained.

The reputation of “Dії” is also important at the international level. Recently, the Ukrainian public service service was introduced by Estonia. As the head of the Ministry of Digital Development shared, previously Estonians provided software solutions to create the Trembita tool, which allows data exchange of records. In response, the Ukrainians shared the code “Дії” for free.

On March 13, Dmitry Lubinets, Human Rights Commissioner of the Supreme Rada of Ukraine, explained where and how they can send summons in Ukraine. He stressed that despite the war, authorities are obliged to comply with legal norms and citizens’ rights and freedoms.

From February 27, it is possible to apply online for registration of marriage in “Dії”. On the public services portal, you must choose the time, place and format of the ceremony, and then appear at the registry office on the appointed date.
