China introduced the latest systems to combat drones: how they work (video)

The state-owned China Electronics Technology Group (CETC), one of the organizers of the fair, demonstrated for the first time a new system for monitoring communications and creating interference. According to the developers, the technology allows you to detect drones in various ways, even in difficult terrain, and then jam the remote control and satellite navigation signals, forcing the aircraft to deviate from course or land. The complex can be installed on a land platform, off-road vehicles or ships.

CETC also proposed a low-altitude three-way array radar model that detects low-flying, slow, and small targets. The company claims that its new digital technologies can simultaneously detect and track low-flying cruise missiles, warplanes and small drones, making it the best radar for this mission. A radar station was also placed on the vehicles so that the army could defend positions around cities or nuclear power plants.

CETC also exhibited for the first time the new generation mobile reconnaissance radar YLC-2E S-band, which can detect even air targets with its stealth technology. Previous anti-stealth radars often used specific frequency bands to counter low-observable warplanes, but in this model, engineers used computer algorithms that caused “advanced” semiconductor materials and equipment with higher energy efficiency to use high-energy radiation to search. “hidden”.

CETC has equipped the YLC-12 C-band multifunctional radar with an adjustable antenna extending up to 18 meters high. It will help fight low-flying objects, primarily drones.

The company also brought in a multifunctional S-band radar YLC-16, capable of detecting many different types of targets. Its main advantage was that it could operate in harsh conditions and at a distance of thousands of kilometers – the military could remotely control the system using fiber optics, microwaves or satellite communications. It is recommended that the YLC-16 be placed in the mountains or on remote islands.

Other Chinese defense companies also brought their products to the World Radar Expo. China Electronics Corp. demonstrated the JL3D-91B anti-stealth radar and underwater towed fiber optic detection system, China Aerospace Science and Industry Corp.co demonstrated a guidance radar for the HQ-9BE anti-aircraft missile system and China State Shipbuilding. Corp demonstrated a next-generation high-frequency ground wave system and a miniature navigational radar for unmanned ships.
