“I am not ready for shock drones”: Belarusian border guards disgraced themselves by shooting down a Ukrainian drone (video)

Journalist Andrei Tsaplienko believes that Belarusian troops should not try to attack Ukraine if they cannot cope with an inept reconnaissance UAV.

Belarusian border troops showed their inability to counter the Ukrainian drones. This conclusion was reached by Ukrainian journalist Andrey Tsaplienko, who commented on the video on the Telegram channel.

Recently, a video appeared on social networks, showing the attempts of the Belarusian border guards to shoot down a reconnaissance plane near the border. Andrei Tsaplienko published a recording of the Ukrainian army using the same drone, advising Belarusians not to think about any attack on Ukraine.

Belarusian soldiers, led by a lieutenant, for several minutes tried to shoot down the UAV with Kalashnikov assault rifles, unsuccessfully. At one point the officer ordered the army to lie on their backs and fire from such a position, which in no way increased their hit.

“Looking at the actions of the Belarusian border guards, we can say that they are not ready to counter the shock Maviks, even if a slow-moving ordinary observer UAV is a difficult target for them,” Tsaplienko said. “From the point of view of fighter jet operators, these characters are already 200 and they leave the battlefield in black plastic bags.”

In February, Belarusian border guards reported the capture of a Ukrainian drone. They claim that the Ukrainians launched a drone to spy on the border, but managed to land it with the help of weapons against a drone.

In March, drones attacked Machulishchi airport in Belarus, damaging an A-50 military plane. As the President of the country Alexander Lukashenko noted, the Belarusian air defense forces could not notice unmanned aerial vehicles due to their small size.
