Aliens from other star systems fly around Earth: including alien probes

A new study suggests that interstellar objects like the famous ‘Oumuamua’ could orbit Earth.

Scientists from Harvard University in the USA presented a new study that says that interstellar objects can be caught by the Earth’s gravity and rotate here for millions of years. Among such natural objects, there may be probes of aliens, Live Science.

Scientists believe that interstellar objects flowing into the solar system from other parts of the galaxy are likely to orbit Earth. Earth’s gravity can pull such icy objects toward Earth from other systems, but they are difficult to detect because modern telescopes cannot yet do this.

Since 2017, when the first interstellar object, named Oumuamua, was discovered, scientists’ interest in such celestial bodies has only begun to rise. 400 meters long and about 40 meters wide, this stone is believed to have wandered through the galaxy for hundreds of millions of years before entering the solar system. It does not resemble any known asteroid or comet, and so its exact origin is unclear. 2 years later, astronomers discovered another interstellar object – comet 2I / Borisov, whose core, according to rough estimates, has a diameter of 1 km. But both ‘Oumuamua and comet 2I/Borisov can overcome the Sun’s gravity and will therefore soon leave the confines of our solar system.

In a new study, scientists tried to find out if other similar objects from other star systems fell under the gravitational effects of the Sun or if planets could stay in our system for long. In particular, the scientists examined the possibility that such objects were captured by the Earth’s gravity and turned into near-Earth objects, likened to some asteroids.

According to astrophysicist Avi Loeb, one of the authors of the study, Earth can sometimes catch icy objects from outside the solar system. Scientists believe that these will be icy natural objects, but among them there may be research probes artificially created by aliens.

By analogy with terrestrial spacecraft like Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 that have already entered interstellar space, Loeb believes aliens may have similar technologies. And these probes were also sent from another star system and may come close to Earth.

According to the research, Earth can use gravity to attract interstellar objects, but it is inferior to Jupiter’s gravitational influence in this regard. The giant planet is 1000 times faster to catch such an object. But the probability of such a development of events remains and is quite high.

The scientists concluded that even if Earth caught any aliens from other star systems, they would only stay in orbit for a few million years before flying further into space. In doing so, they may even leave our solar system.

According to Loeb, there is no absolute guarantee that such aliens are currently flying around Earth, but this possibility needs to be checked. Although this is still impossible to do, because modern telescopes do not have such a high sensitivity. But scientists say the Vera Rubin Observatory should start work as early as August next year and can likely detect these potential objects in space.

The study says the study of interstellar objects will provide new insights into how other star systems form. And if it is possible to detect an alien apparatus, this will give humanity access to extraterrestrial technologies.

As already written FocusAvi Loeb recently stated that the ‘Oumuamua object cannot be considered a comet as some scientists suggest, and presented his arguments.

Moreover Focus He wrote that scientists have proposed their own version of the origin of ‘Oumuamua and believed it was definitely not an alien spacecraft.
