On the occasion of the opening of the exhibition “75 Years of Porsche Sports Cars” at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, Porsche concept car officially unveiled Mission X. It’s about electric hypercar revealing Porsche’s vision for the battery-powered sports cars of the future.

A car looking to the future, inheriting the heritage of the German brand’s previous sports cars such as the 959, Carrera GT and 918 Spyder. Despite being an extreme car, the Porsche Mission X is designed not only for the track, but also to be able to move around roads open to the public.

Porsche Mission X It’s long approximately 4.5 meters, 2 meters wide, just under 1.2 meters high and has a wheelbase of 2.73 meters. These measures, according to Porsche, are very similar to those taken in the Carrera GT and 918 Spyder. The car has a carbon monocoque and specially thought-out aerodynamics. The technical specialists of the German brand are working on the design. inspired by some past models. For example, the LED headlights are inspired by the headlights of the Porsche 906 and 908.

This new electric hypercar from Porsche also features a distinctive Rocket Metallic paint job and 20-inch wheels at the front and 21-inch at the rear. The concept also features a new logo that Porsche unveiled a few days ago.

The passenger compartment is particularly refined and upholstered in Andalusia Brown leather. To highlight the driver’s seat, the driver’s seat is upholstered in leather in Kalahari Grey. Both seats have 6-point seat belts. The steering wheel, on the other hand, houses the drive mode selector. Behind the wheel we also find a display for digital instruments. There is also a second small display that allows you to view some information about the functioning of the car. The passenger can count on a removable element with the functions of a stopwatch and telemetry. The entire cockpit is surrounded by a carbon fiber exoskeleton.

As for the technical specifications of this concept car, Porsche, unfortunately, did not want to say much. Birth of a Porsche Mission X to hypothetically break the road car record at the Nürburgring. Although exact figures are not given, the car can expect a power density of around 1 kg/hp. The automaker also adds that the car has more downforce than the Porsche GT3 RS. So, we are talking about a load of over 860 kg.

The concept takes advantage of a platform equipped with architecture 900 V which allows very high power to be recharged. Porsche talks about possibilities beyond what can be achieved with the Taycan. The battery has been placed behind the seats to replicate the driving experience of mid-engined sports cars.

Nothing was said about engines and performance. Therefore, we know nothing about their characteristics and power levels.
