Ferrari KS23 this is the last model made Maranello Special Projects Team. It’s about one-time exclusive designed by the Ferrari Style Center under the direction of Flavio Manzoni for a client identified as “very demandingThis new supercar will make its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from 13 to 16 July and will then be on display at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello from 1 August to 2 October.
The basis of the new Ferrari KC23 is the 488 GT3 EVO, which has been extensively redesigned considering that the car does not have to meet certain homologation restrictions. Designed for the track, it has especially improved aerodynamics. Maranello says in this regard that his new supercar can count on active aerodynamics and a removable rear wing. The front end looks very sophisticated with a large splitter. However, a large diffuser stands out at the rear. In particular, the side air intakes are active and only open when the engine is started.
The color chosen for the Ferrari KC23 is Gold Mercury, a specially developed aluminum-based four-layer paint that tends to change color depending on the type and angle of light falling on it. This unique example has vertically opening doors, like a LaFerrari supercar. Compared to the model it comes from, the KC23 can also count on headlights that resemble those found on the 499P. However, on the back we see a dynamic glowing methacrylate blade inspired by the Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo concept car.
The passenger compartment retains the same basic structure of a racing car. The seats are upholstered in Alcantara, and the steering wheel is very similar to that used in endurance racing. Outside, there are no classic rear-view mirrors. In their place are cameras that project the image onto several small screens placed inside the cabin.
Maranello did not say anything about the engine and performance of the new KC23. However, given that the base is a 488 GT3 EVO, the engine must be 3.9 liter twin-turbo V8 capable of developing 600 hp. and 700 Nm of torque. Ferrari hasn’t even revealed the price of this exclusive one-of-a-kind track specimen.
