According to the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus, some individuals launched drones over the country’s protected facilities, including military units.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus reported that in the past two weeks, security forces detained persons entering the protected facilities. This was announced in the press service of the defense ministry on Thursday (August 10th).
In particular, it was reported that an operator of a drone who tried to launch it over the territory of one of the military units was detained. In addition, electronic warfare devices allegedly thwarted several attempts to fly UAVs over protected objects.
The command for the fight against the partisans rewarded the Belarusian security forces.
“By the decision of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Belarus, all soldiers who showed vigilance, professionalism and determination were rewarded,” the statement said.
Recall, on August 10, Polish Minister of National Defense Mariusz Blaszczak said that due to the increase in immigrants, mainly from the Middle East and Africa, Warsaw plans to strengthen its borders with Belarus and deploy about 10,000 soldiers there.
Earlier it was reported that on August 4, Poland handed over evidence that it had crossed its airspace from Belarus. Warsaw urged Belarus to “stop all provocations” on the border.
