Electra opens its first ultra-fast charging station in Italy on October 03, 2023 23

Electrathe Paris-born 2021 electric vehicle infrastructure company is pushing forward its expansion plan also in Italy, with the goal of installing about 3,000 charging stations in our country. Now Electra has announced that it has opened its first ultra-fast charging station in Italy in Peschiera del Gardain the province of Verona, in the parking lot of the ICS commercial park, located along the road connecting the A4 motorway with the A22 motorway.

CHARGING AT 300 KW

In more detail, the new station consists of 4 columns, 8 new charging points in total with force 300 kW. The infrastructure is available 24 hours a day and is powered by sustainable energy. Payment can be made through the app, by credit card, or by signing up for a top-up subscription. Using a special application, a motorist can identify and book a charging station in advance, receiving an estimate of charging time and cost.

How much does it cost to recharge? For power supply you pay 0.79 euros per kWh. In any case, Electra has entered into several interoperability agreements. Thus, it will be possible to manage replenishment using applications and cards of other operators, for example Evway.

Electra takes over the entire process of installing and managing charging stations in public and private car parks of supermarkets, shopping centers, hotel chains, restaurants and motorway service stations, taking on all the investments required to transform and manage the hubs: from purchases to materials to administration procedures, from design to installation, from maintenance to customer service. Eugenio SaporaCEO of Electra Italia, commented:

Italy is particularly accelerating in terms of public charging infrastructure, with 45,210 charging stations across the country. As our first Italian station we chose Peschiera del Garda, a strategic node capable of simultaneously serving the traffic of the A4, one of Italy’s main economic routes, and the A22, the main route for Northern European tourism, in an area that already stands out for the proliferation of electric vehicle charging infrastructure: Veneto is, in fact, the third region in terms of the number of charging points (4420).
