Wiped off the face of the earth: HIMARS and SHARK dealt with the crews of unmanned aerial vehicles of the Russian Armed Forces (video)

The Ukrainian SHARK drone tracked down the invaders with the Russian Supercam S350 drone, and the HIMARS rocket launcher fired GMLRS shells at them.

The Ukrainian army destroyed a Russian drone crew near the village of Kutuzovka (Zaporozhye region) using the M142 HIMARS rocket launcher. The relevant video was published on the StratCom ZSU Telegram channel on Tuesday, October 10.

Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle SHARK launched an operation to eliminate the enemy. He conducted aerial reconnaissance so that the artillery could attack as accurately as possible. In the images transmitted by drone to the fighters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, it is seen that a team of invaders is dismantling their aircraft-type UAV near the vehicle. The military portal writes that this is a Supercam S350.

After reconnaissance of the situation, fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot the crew of the invaders with GMLRS shells. The SHARK drone, which has been monitoring it all this time, showed how the Russian army vehicle was covered in dense smoke. After it dispersed, it was understood that the vehicle burned together with the drone. Russian soldiers, as well as equipment, were liquidated during the explosion.

What is known about the Supercam S350 drone shot down by the Ukrainian Armed Forces

The drone is produced by the Russian company Unmanned Systems. The UAV is equipped with a parachute, with which the landing is carried out, and its launch is possible using an elastic or pneumatic catapult. Flight can be carried out in two modes: automatic or semi-automatic. The drone carries as payload a 20/24/42/60 megapixel camera, thermal imager and/or an HD video camera with 10/33x optical zoom, alignment capabilities and laser pointer. The ship has a multispectral camera, background radiation measurement sensor, laser gas analyzer and scanner. Additional equipment includes a module for automatic tracking and target acquisition, a dual-frequency geodetic class receiver with 2 or 3 systems, a broadband secure video channel with a data transmission range of 50-100 km, as well as a command Telemetry radio link with the ability to operate in frequency converter mode.

Technical specifications of Supercam S350:

  • wingspan – 3.2 m;
  • flight duration – about 4.5 hours;
  • speed – 65 to 120 km/h;
  • communication range – 70-100 km;
  • video channel range – up to 50-100 km;
  • flight range – maximum 240 km;
  • take-off weight – maximum 11.5 kg;
  • flight altitude – 150 – 5000 m.

What can the Ukrainian drone Shark do?

This is an unmanned reconnaissance system created by Ukrspecsystems for observation and fire adjustment. The UAV is equipped with a highly reliable communication module (AES256 encryption), which allows it to go deep behind enemy lines up to 80 km in electronic warfare conditions. The Full HD optical-electronic surveillance system with 30x optical zoom and an additional 3x digital zoom allows surveillance of up to 5 km distance between the drone and the object.

Shark combines battle-tested technology with the combat experience of the PD-1 and PD-2 series large operational-tactical drones. The drone is launched from a catapult and has an operational range of up to 80 km and rises to an altitude of up to 3000 metres. Its maximum speed is 130 km/h, cruising speed is 75 km/h and stopping speed is 60 km/h. Landing is carried out using a parachute.

Advantages of Shark UAV

  • intelligent electronic pre-flight check before flight;
  • automatic mission and safety planning, including automatic return to home and emergency landing capability;
  • real-time data broadcast;
  • support for adjusting the route during flight, as well as setting waypoint navigation;
  • animated online map;
  • Goal setting and analysis.

These drones are capable of fixing large-caliber artillery for long periods of time and are resistant to electronic warfare and harsh weather conditions. You can simultaneously control multiple UAVs that can operate in harsh weather conditions from a single station.

Technical characteristics of the Ukrainian UAV Shark

  • wingspan – 3.4 m;
  • communication range – 60 km;
  • flight duration – more than 4 hours;
  • maximum flight speed – 150 km/h;
  • distribution time – 15 minutes.

Let us remind you that we wrote on October 10 that the Pegasus drone was related to the equipment of the Russian Armed Forces. A Ukrainian operator carried out a successful attack using a kamikaze drone with a cheap FPV drone called the “Steel front” craft. To protect themselves from Ukrainian drones, the invaders built a protective structure above the tank’s turret, colloquially called a “barbecue”. However, the drone operator directed Pegasus to attack the most vulnerable part of the armored vehicles.

And in mid-September in Donbass, an FPV drone dealt with an enemy T-72B3 tank. Even the protective barbecue did not help him. A Ukrainian operator carried out a successful attack using a kamikaze drone in the direction of Staromlinovsky near the village of Kermenchik in the Donetsk region.
