Ukraine is interested in SARISA SRS-1A drone: can destroy enemy armored vehicles (video)

The drone can be equipped with various missiles and can also be used to provide logistics to front-line combat units.

Greek startup Spirit Aeronautical Systems unveiled its new SARISA SRS-1A attack quadcopter equipped with a missile launcher to destroy armored vehicles at the AUSA military conference in the United States. Latest Defense reports. Representatives of the initiative told the conference that a quadcopter with the French rocket launcher RL275-1S from Thales has already aroused increasing interest from Ukraine and other countries.

“This is a unique system. Missiles are typically launched from large helicopters such as Apache and Cobra. We offer an alternative and incomparably cheaper solution to this problem,” Fotis Kampiotis, vice president of technology at SAS, told Breaking Defense. “It is an excellent weapon because it can actually hit the target with high accuracy from a distance of less than one meter and up to several kilometers.”

According to Kampiotis, the rocket’s launch tests were carried out successfully with the support of the French company Thales earlier this summer. The company emphasized that the quadcopter is fully ready for industrial production and is waiting for its first customers.

The company’s vice president added that the drone supports all types of communications: line-of-sight radio control and satellite communication with the operator. In addition, the SARISA SRS-1 A can be equipped with one or two HYDRA 70 missile launchers with a diameter of 2.75 inches/70 mm. The quadcopter can be controlled with a large SAS control station or a small standard controller for more complex operations.

But this powerful quadcopter can not only destroy enemy equipment, but also deliver everything needed to the battlefield. For example, dropping supplies, medicine or ammunition directly to soldiers on the front line.

Previously Focus It has been reported that the Israeli company UVision, known in Ukraine for its stray munitions belonging to the Hero family, has announced that it has started the production of Hero-90 kamikaze drones, a middle-class model. Equipped with 1.5 kilograms of ammunition, the drone flies at a range of up to 40 kilometers.
