The Ukrainian army successfully completed its mission by tracking the infantry fighting vehicle and sending an unmanned bomber on the hunt at night.
Soldiers of the 82nd separate air assault brigade of the Air Assault Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a Russian infantry fighting vehicle using an unmanned aerial vehicle. The relevant video was published on the unit’s official Facebook page on Tuesday, October 17.
It is known that one of the brigade units noticed an infantry fighting vehicle belonging to the Russian invaders. It was decided to destroy the armored vehicles in the dark using a drone with a night vision device and an ammunition launch system. The UAV operator successfully guided the UAV to its target, and then the UAV dropped a large number of ammunition on the combat vehicle. The fire engulfed the equipment after the first hit, and subsequent ones completed the job, completely disabling the infantry fighting vehicle.
“The attentive approach and high level of training of pilots, spotters and commanders helped them destroy Russian equipment. The military personnel of the 82nd Air Assault Brigade once again demonstrated their effectiveness and unsurpassed professionalism,” the military wrote on video footage.
