Failure in Kyivstar: The Ministry of Internal Affairs made an important statement

If necessary, Ukrainians can turn to law enforcement agencies, border guards or national guards for help, the ministry said.

Due to the large-scale failure in the work of the mobile operator Kyivstar, a large number of Ukrainians were deprived of mobile communications and the Internet. The Home Office has told you who to contact if you need help. The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Igor Klimenko, wrote about this.

Ukrainians who need to contact loved ones or call emergency services can turn to fire or police departments for help.

You can also ask for help from police officers, border guards or national guards on duty in crowded areas and on roads.

According to Klimenko, Wi-Fi access is available at all Invincibility Points affiliated with the Ministry of Internal Affairs. All emergency numbers operate normally without interruption.

Failure in Kyivstar’s work: what is known

On December 12, mobile operator Kyivstar reported a technical malfunction. Some subscribers were deprived of internet and communication.

Ukrainians cannot make calls, send messages or even log into the operator’s application.

According to preliminary information, the cause of the incident is a hacker attack on the network core. Carrier users also cannot use National Roaming.

Such a malfunction can, among other things, affect POS terminals and ATMs that work with Kyivstar cards.

Let us also remind you that, according to the Ministry of Infrastructure, communication problems may last several hours.
