According to journalists, the use of new UAVs made it possible to obtain a lot of important information about the location of units of the Russian Armed Forces.
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has received new unmanned aerial vehicles that have been tested at military facilities of the Russian Federation. OBOZ.UA writes about this, citing a source in the Ukrainian special services.
According to the source, the new UAVs have proven to be quite effective in their work.
“It was a very effective work spread over time. This made it possible to obtain a lot of interesting and important information about the location of units of the aggressor’s armed forces, in particular, air defense systems,” said a representative of the Ukrainian special services.
Journalists said they contacted the State Intelligence Directorate for an official comment, but they neither confirmed nor denied this information.
It was previously reported that UAVs attacked Moscow on December 19. Three airports were closed due to the incident. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that the region repelled the drone attack. Sobyanin also noted that, according to initial information, there was no damage or loss of life as a result of the drones falling. However, emergency services are at the scene.
Later, it was reported in the media that GUR soldiers attacked airports in Moscow and the Bryansk region with unmanned aerial vehicles. The operation of Ukrainian military intelligence may still continue, journalists reported, citing sources.
