The Russian Federation has developed a device that can turn any tank, infantry fighting vehicle and armored personnel carrier into a robot.

Developers compared their product to the Terminator, saying the cars could be driven and fired without a crew.

The Russian holding company “High Precision Complexes”, which is part of Rostec, has completed the development of a software and hardware complex (SHC) called “Prometheus” and is currently testing it. The developers claim that if the device is installed on an infantry fighting vehicle, armored personnel carrier or any type of tank, it will turn them into remote-controlled robots, TASS reported.

Holding said that the device robotizes the car in a way that requires neither a driver nor a shooter. This means that the crew using Prometheus will be able to remotely control the BMP-3, for example.
