It will protect the Ukrainians and defeat the Russians: How the new Wolly combat module with artificial intelligence works (video)

The system allows the fighter to control the machine gun from a distance of 100 meters while in cover. It works autonomously for up to 130 hours, and the “smart” system allows for better hits.

Ukrainian manufacturer DevDroid LLC presented the portable remote-controlled combat machine gun module Wolly, which the army has already tested in combat conditions. The company promotes its features on its YouTube channel.

The description says that the Wolly module is designed to destroy unarmored and unprotected targets (equipment and manpower). It can also monitor the battlefield. The combat module is designed for installation at strong points, control points, observation points, firing positions and is also easy to transport.

Wolly is equipped with a 7.62 mm machine gun capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 1000 meters. In this case, the machine gun operator can be in a safe place up to 100 m and not endanger his own life. The module is controlled using a tablet and gamepad.

Wolly improves long-range accuracy by automatically performing ballistic calculations on shots. It has the capacity to operate autonomously for up to 130 hours. The device weighs only 30 kg, making it easy to transport and quickly install to another location. The machine gun module is mounted on a tripod, which allows it to be placed on the surface.

The official website of the manufacturer states that Wolly was created taking into account the experience of using the TGP combat module. In turn, the weight of the new product has been reduced, which allows the module to be carried by one person.

As a possible use case, the company recommends installing the module in a trench and routing the control cable through it. The company also mentions that integrating the device with artificial intelligence will increase shooting efficiency and speed.

It was previously reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces use the ShaBlya machine gun turret. The 7.62 mm machine gun mounted on the Lynx wheeled unmanned platform can fight infantry, armored vehicles and small drones. “ShaBlya” is a remote-controlled combat module produced in Ukraine. The turret also operates remotely using the remote control, allowing you to fight from a distance and save the lives of defenders.
