You don’t need to spend money to enjoy juicy nuggets at one of the fast food restaurants. You can make them at home, tastier and more original.
The recipe offered to you FocusIt consists of special soaking of chicken thighs. You need to take a simple whey, and then roll the thighs in flour with spices. This makes the nuggets juicy, appetizing and crunchy.
Special marinated chicken nuggets
Contents:
- 4 large boneless and skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-size pieces
- 3-4 cups of vegetable oil;
- 1 glass of whey;
- Sriracha sauce (ideally, but other smoky flavors can be used)
- 2 glasses of flour;
- 2 teaspoons of salt;
- One teaspoon each of pepper, garlic powder, thyme, onion powder and paprika.
First, heat the oil in the fryer to 180 degrees. Remove excess skin and fat from the thighs. Some people like to leave some oil and leather for better flavor. Lightly salt the chicken pieces and season with black pepper. Put the prepared chicken in the freezer bag and add the whey. Place it in the refrigerator. Ideally at night, but maybe for a few hours.
Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.
Remove the chicken pieces from the whey and drain gently in a colander and put in a bowl. Add some Sriracha sauce (or any other sauce with a smoky flavor) to the whey-moistened pieces.
Dip the marinated chicken pieces into the flour mixture. Stir to completely coat. Gently fold the flour into the chicken pieces. This is the most important step to get rough, crispy nuggets.
Fry for 7-10 minutes until golden brown.
Don’t waste time with paper towels when you take your nuggets out of the fryer. Place a cooling rack on a baking sheet and place the nuggets on it. This will make them the crispiest! Grab your favorite sauce and enjoy.
These unbaked oatmeal cookies, which can be made in five easy steps, are the perfect dessert to pair with these nuggets.
