Today you can not eat animal products and plan a trip.
What happened today?
Today the Orthodox Church commemorates the martyrs Photius and Anikita. Anikita was a military man in Asia Minor. When Christians were persecuted under Emperor Diocletian, Anikita was severely tortured and then imprisoned for three years. He continued to glorify Christ at trial. Later his nephew Photius joined him, kissed his chains and began to praise the one God. The emperor ordered both of them to be severely tortured and then thrown into a heated oven, where they would end their lives as martyrs.
