The couple vacationed in Canada for a while before moving to Montecito. Archie was just six months old when Prince Harry and Meghan spent Thanksgiving and Christmas at a secluded mansion on Vancouver Island in late 2019.
Footage from those days was included in the streaming service’s project on the royal family, which aired in December last year.
In the home video, Archie, dressed in a Mini Boden Panda snow suit, looks out over the snowy landscape while sitting on a red wooden sled.
His mother can’t stop laughing and cheering as she drags her little boy through the snow.
Describing the family’s time in Canada, Prince Harry’s wife said:
“I loved being there. It was so peaceful. You can take a break.”
Harry and Meghan’s decision to take a six-week holiday and fly to Canada came before the announcement in January 2020 that they would be stepping down from public duties as members of the royal family.
They made their last public appearance as part of the whole family in March 2020, after which they flew to the United States.
