How to cook a gourmet dish: recipe for chicken pate in the oven

This dish can be easily placed on the holiday table.

Baked pates are a French tradition. It is often mentioned even in fiction. They are prepared with pork, rabbit, duck and chicken.

These pastes are cut into slices and served with fresh bread on top. The recipe was shared on the Bien de chez nous website.

Baked chicken pate

Contents:

  • chicken thigh fillet – 600 g;
  • chicken liver – 700 g;
  • two onions;
  • butter – 100 g;
  • two eggs;
  • cream 30% – 100 ml;
  • dried Provençal herbs – 1 tsp.
  • salt, freshly ground black pepper.

Wash the fillet, dry it and cut it into small pieces. Place in a large bowl. Also cut out the liver. Mix these two types of meat.

To make the paste, peel the onion and chop it finely. Melt the butter in a pan. Fry the onion until soft and slightly golden.

Beat the eggs with salt with a whisk. Add the cream and mix. Add chicken pieces. Season with salt, pepper and Provençal herbs.

Grind the mixture with a blender until smooth. Divide into two muffin moulds. Place in a deep baking tray and fill with cold water until it almost reaches the edges.

Preheat the oven to 170 degrees. Place the pate in the pan with the pates and bake until cooked through, about 40 minutes. Let cool completely, then refrigerate for at least an hour.

The pate can be flavored with ground paprika, ground red pepper, rosemary or thyme.

You can also make delicious baked cabbage.
