Insiders claim their romance was more than a fling and that she “found herself” by dating Peregrine after her divorce from Joe.
A source close to the star said she and Peregrine, 29, were in the “honeymoon period” as he helped her recover from the collapse of her four-year marriage.
“Sophie was upset about breaking up with Joe, and being with Perry really puts her at ease. At first she thought it would just be a fling and she was having fun as it would take her mind off her struggle with Joe and the divorce.” The insider said Sophie had given up on herself with regret, starting to think about her relationship with Peregrine more often and relaxing, enjoying “all the fun he was giving her”.
