Rare photo: Cillian Murphy attended the ceremony with his wife and son

The Irish actor rarely appears in public with his family. But the film “Oppenheimer”, in which he played the main role, was very significant.

Cillian Murphy is famously private and does not appear in public with his family very often. But he made an exception for the sake of the Golden Globes. And for good reason. When he received an award for his role in the movie Oppenheimer, he had someone to share his joy with. The Daily Mail writes about this.

Killian attended the ceremony with his 16-year-old son Aran and his wife Yvonne McGuinness. The couple also has a 17-year-old son named Malarchy. But it wasn’t at the Golden Globes.

It was an unforgettable night for the 47-year-old Irish actor, who won Best Actor in a Drama for his role in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer.

Aran has already starred in two films. And according to critics, he looks a lot like his famous father.

Murphy began his speech by praising Nolan, with whom he has worked many times before, including Batman Begins, Dunkirk and Inception.

“When I first walked onto Christopher Nolan’s set, I noticed that everything was different. I could tell from the level of seriousness, the level of focus, the level of dedication, and the lack of any seating options for the actors. I realized that. Killian said I was working with a visionary director and a true master.” .

“One of the most beautiful and vulnerable things about being an actor is that no actor can do it alone,” he joked.

Last week, the actor attended the Desert Palm Achievement Award ceremony in Palm Springs and did something he rarely does, talking about his family. Killian explained that his oldest son was staying home because he had exams.

The Peaky Blinders star previously revealed that he decided to move his family to their homeland of Ireland in 2015 because he wanted his children to be Irish.

He explained: “We wanted the kids to be Irish. They were teenagers and already had a posh British accent and I didn’t really like it. So we decided to move back. We stayed in London for 14 years, both of our children were born there, and we only moved to Dublin in 2015.” “We moved in. It’s a very Irish way of going, a very Irish story about doing your own thing and coming home, which seems to be a common Irish story.”

Although his children’s accents played a big part in the decision to move, there were other factors as well: Killian said he and Yvonne wanted to move back home to be closer to their parents.

Killian doesn’t want to live in Los Angeles.

“I love visiting, I love the food and the weather there. I don’t know, I just feel European, I just feel Irish. If I lived in California I would feel like an outsider, I couldn’t imagine living there all the time,” the actor admitted.

The actor lives in a £1.7 million Victorian mansion in Dublin.

But not everyone looked happy on the Golden Globes red carpet. Natalie Portman, who was said to have separated from her husband due to his infidelities, was lonely and not smiling much.
