- salted butter – 220 g;
- granulated sugar;
- flour – 320 g;
- fresh rosemary – 2 teaspoons.
In a medium bowl, beat the butter with an electric mixer on medium speed until creamy; Slowly add powdered sugar, whisking well. Gradually add the flour to the butter mixture, beating on low speed until smooth. Slowly add the rosemary.
Use your hands to shape the dough into a ball. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface. Cut the cookies using any cookie cutter or cut the dough into rectangles.
Place the cookies on a lightly greased (or parchment-lined) baking sheet.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned around the edges.
Recommendation:
Make sure your rolling pin and surface are floured, but don’t overdo it. Do not add too much flour when rolling out the dough.
Do not use dried rosemary for this recipe! The cookies will not taste the same.
Rosemary cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week. They also freeze well. Store in an airtight container or ziplock bag to freeze for up to 3 months.
