The King of Denmark attends a church service where they prayed for peace in Ukraine (private)

In addition to the monarch, the church ceremony was attended by the speaker of the Danish parliament, Søren Gade, the wife of the Ukrainian Ambassador to Denmark, Yulia Sibirtseva, and some ministers. Prayers were offered in both Danish and Ukrainian.

On February 23, His Majesty King Frederik X of Denmark visited the Holmen Church (Copenhagen), where a church service for peace for Ukraine was held. The information was published on the official page of the Royal House on the social network Instagram.

His Majesty the King attended the peace ceremony, which began with a musical performance by Peter Skov-Jacobsen, Bishop of the Diocese of Copenhagen.

The program also included prayers in Ukrainian and Danish led by Father Vasily Tikhovich, priest of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Denmark, as well as a Bible reading by church priest Lars Obel.

At the funeral ceremony, Ukrainian poet Ekaterina Kalitko performed her poem “Prayer for Ukraine”. The study was conducted in Ukrainian.

It should be noted that in addition to the monarch, the church service was also attended by the speaker of the Danish parliament, Søren Gade, the wife of Ukraine’s Ambassador to Denmark, Yulia Sibirtseva, and some ministers.

Let us remember that we previously wrote that in 2022, Prince Charles and his wife prayed for peace in Ukraine at the Greek Catholic Church in London. The meeting took place at the Sagrada Familia Cathedral, and Prince Charles and Camilla spent several hours there. They talked with children, listened to the stories of those whose relatives remained in Ukraine and are now resisting the Russian aggressor.
