WSJ: States signed the lack of Patriot air defense systems for Ukraine

Washington does not have enough Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to transfer them to Ukraine. Writes about it The Wall Street Journal.

Journalists argue that the United States, in its current state, is not capable of filling the gaps in another country’s missile defense. SAM Patriot is too small. And it’s too late for the crews to take up duty.

“The belated delivery proves the White House’s bizarre habit of mocking weapons that end up being delivered after more damage has been done.”– the authors comment on Washington’s alleged decision on supplies.

Recall that rumors about the possible supply of Patriot systems to Kyiv appeared in mid-December.

Ukraine has been trying to get these air defense systems for a long time. So, in early December, she was refused by Germany.

The Kremlin has repeatedly stated that the systems handed over to the Zelensky government will become legitimate targets for Russian military personnel. And the very fact of the transfer will lead to greater tension in international relations, up to a large-scale military clash.
