Hundreds of flights canceled in the United States due to a failure in the warning system

All flights to the United States canceled due to a failure in the NOTAM pilot notification system, reports fox news.

Malfunctions in the automatic system, which sends warnings to pilots about flight restrictions and dangers, were previously notified by the US Federal Aviation Administration. There was a possibility of stopping flights throughout the country.

“The NOTAM outage is ongoing and there is currently no estimated recovery time”– the channel quotes the management.

At the time of publication of the material, 400 flights had already been canceled at US airports. Another 1,150 flights were delayed.

The US Federal Aviation Administration insists that specialists are working to restore the notification system. The press service of the department conducts a text broadcast of the work on social networks.
