About 1250 US tanks and armored vehicles are being transferred to the EU. In early January, they began to arrive in the Dutch port of Vlissingen. They intend to send them to Poland and the Baltic states soon, Reuters reports.

According to a foreign agency, M1 Abrams tanks and Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, which are based in Texas, are involved in the transfer.

The States themselves claim that the delivery of such weapons is carried out as part of the “planned reinforcement” of NATO combat groups on the eastern flank of the alliance. Three such groups are deployed in the Baltics and one each in Poland, Bulgaria and Romania.

Recall that at the NATO summit in Madrid last summer, the countries of the alliance agreed on the long-term deployment of significant combat forces near the Russian borders. The NATO countries then also confirmed that they did not intend to participate in the conflict in Ukraine, but would provide it with all kinds of assistance and support.

Russia has repeatedly noted that NATO is already an indirect participant in the events in Ukraine, and the supply of deadly weapons to the Kyiv regime only prolongs the conflict.
