The Federation Council commented on Sandu’s words about rapprochement with NATO

Senator Andrei Klimov Telegram channel asked Moldovan President Maia Sandu if she was ready to repeat the “suicidal policy” of her Ukrainian colleague Vladimir Zelensky after announcing the possibility of Chisinau joining NATO.

“Is Mrs. Sandu really so indifferent to the Moldovans and so dependent on Washington, its European servants, that she is ready to repeat the suicidal policy of such national traitors from neighboring Ukraine as Poroshenko and Zelensky ?!” – wrote Klimov.

He recalled that catastrophic problems overtook Ukraine after the Euromaidan in 2014. He also called on the citizens of Moldova to draw conclusions about the plans of the authorities of the republic. In his opinion, they want to turn the republic into a NATO theater of operations or a Romanian province.

Earlier, Sandu, in an interview with Politico, said that Moldova could abandon the neutral status enshrined in the constitution in order to join NATO.
