Detectives are investigating the Alhambra incident to determine if it could be connected in any way to the Monterey Park shooting.

The Alhambra incident was reported 17 to 20 minutes after the Montrerey Park shooting.in which 10 people died and 10 others were injured.

Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said that at the dance hall in the Alhambra “A suspected Asian entered with a firearm and that some people took it from him”.
Authorities mentioned that the subject managed to flee the scene, and some witnesses reported seeing a white cargo van in the area.a vehicle that was described as being of interest to investigators.
“We are working hard with the Alhambra Police Department. We believe there is an incident that may be related. We haven’t arrived yet. But it’s definitely on our radar screen,” Luna added.
At noon, police cars found and surrounded a white van in the city of Torrance, a vehicle that could be linked to both incidents. No one involved in the truck was found at the scene.
No one was injured in the Alhambra incident. and investigators cleared the site at approximately 7:00 am.
The police seized the weapons at the scene. The Los Angeles County Sheriff did not give details about the type of firearm, except that it was not an assault rifle.
Asked if the gun found in the Alhambra could be the same one used in the Monterey Park shooting, Luna replied that it could be, and that they don’t have confirmation yet.
