Aircraft manufacturing companies and the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Air Force were also on the black list. They are accused of taking part in the transfer of UAVs to the Russian army.
On Tuesday, January 31, the US Department of Commerce put seven Iranian organizations on a so-called “blacklist” for helping the Russian Federation and its military-industrial complex. This is reported in the electronic database of the US Federal Registry.
As noted, Iranian organizations collaborated with the Russian Armed Forces and contributed to military aggression by producing UAVs for the Russian army.
“These seven organizations have been identified by the US government as contributing to the Russian Armed Forces and its military-industrial complex by acting against US national security interests or foreign policy,” the document states.
The list includes several aircraft manufacturing enterprises:
- Nail Polish Parvaz Mado Nafar Company
- Paravar Pars Company
- Qods Aviation Industry
- Shahed Aviation Industries
In addition to these, the blacklist included:
- Islamic Revolutionary Guards Army (IRGC) Aerospace Forces
- Research organization and self-sufficient jihadist organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps
- Iranian organization for the design and manufacture of aircraft engines.
The American “black list” includes the introduction of export control measures against legal entities.
Recall that The National Interest published an article on January 14 stating that US sanctions have not yet prevented Iran from creating military drones. According to the authors of the material, the US authorities need to develop a new strategy for the production of Shahed-136 and other UAVs to break the complex supply chain.
US State Department spokesman Ned Price said in a January 9 briefing that Washington could hold Iran responsible for war crimes in Ukraine.
