“Transneft” reported an attempt to shell the UAF of the pipeline “Druzhba”

The Ukrainian army tried to shell the oil pumping station of the Druzhba pipeline in the Bryansk region, reported RIA News with reference to Transneft.

“As a result of a shell hit on the territory of the station, there were no victims, the damage is being repaired by the repair team.”the company said.

The released ammunition fell into a field near the village of Mamai. The attack attempt took place on the evening of 31 January. The oil pipeline is operating normally.

It is noted that the Novozybkovo PS is used at peak loads and last time it was launched for several hours last year.

According to the source REN TV, presumably, Ukrainian militants hit the object with a tactical missile. As a result, communications, power supply, as well as the building of the operator pumping station were damaged.

The interlocutor specified that the station was in shutdown mode and there was no pumping at it.

The head of the Ministry of Energy, Nikolay Shulginov, commenting on the situation, noted that there were no problems with pumping oil through the pipeline after the shelling attempt, TASS reports.
