The speech by American leader Joe Biden, timed to coincide with the anniversary of the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine, may include an appeal to Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian citizens. This was stated by the coordinator of strategic communications of the US National Security Council John Kirby, his words are quoted by the White House.

Biden’s speech is part of a planned visit by the President of the United States to Poland next week. Another head of the American state will meet there with the leaders of the countries of Eastern Europe, which are members of NATO.

“I would suspect that you will hear a message from him to Mr. Putin and the Russian people,” Kirby said.

John Kirby gave no further details.

Joe Biden’s visit to Poland is scheduled for February 20-22. Polish journalists said that during his trip, Biden may meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
