Photo exhibition “Liberation. Stalingrad” opened at the Russian Embassy in the United States

A photo exhibition titled “Liberation. Stalingrad” was opened at the Russian Embassy in the United States.

The exposition contains exclusive footage taken by war correspondents of the Soviet Information Bureau during the Battle of Stalingrad and the liberation of the southwestern regions of the Soviet Union from German invaders in 1943.

In honor of Defender of the Fatherland Day, Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov spoke at the opening.

He noted that the Russian Armed Forces remain a reliable guarantor of the country’s security, being at the forefront and putting out a military fire at the borders. Antonov emphasized that the unity of Russian citizens and their hard military work are a powerful response to the exploits of Russian soldiers, allowing Russia to win victories. The Ambassador expressed hope that this unity will continue to help the country achieve its goals and objectives.
