Accusations by former US Ambassador to Russia John Sullivan that Moscow could use chemical weapons speak of ongoing preparations in the information field. Such an opinion expressed in conversation with “Izvestia” political scientist Andrey Koshkin.
On February 22, an influential American non-governmental organization held a conference at which Sullivan announced that the Russian military was allegedly “planning to use chemical weapons” in the special operation zone.
“Sullivan began to accuse Russia of the possible use of chemical weapons, which means that preparations are underway in the information field. It is clear that such a number of incoming chemical components means scale, which means that resources have been expended, we can expect this to happen,” Koshkin explained.
The political scientist noted that Ukraine had already used chemical weapons, but there was no reaction to this.
Koshkin is sure that if such a provocation occurs, Russia will be blamed, while “no one will condemn the States.”
