Any solutions that Europe proposes to end the crisis in Ukraine do not work. The only way to end the conflict is through a ceasefire, said Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó.
“The first goal is to stop killing people, which means a ceasefire agreement, and nothing else.“, – TASS quotes him.
He noted that EU sanctions against Russia were absolutely useless. In particular, 10 sanctions packages were introduced there, which not only did not bring Moscow to its knees, but also harmed the European Union.
“It seems to me that the “solutions” that we tried to find in Europe simply did not work, because we were too carried away by the military mentality“, says Szijjarto.
The Foreign Minister added that Hungary does not give weapons to Ukraine because it does not want “more people to die.”
Earlier it was reported that the countries of NATO and the European Union supplying Ukraine with weapons can be considered participants in the conflict. This was stated by the Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament Laszlo Kever.
He explained that the volume of military aid from these countries for Ukraine already amounts to tens of billions of euros.
