Winning numbers:
How is it played?
Double Play is an add-on game to Powerball that gives players another chance to match your Powerball numbers in a separate draw with a top cash prize of $10 million..
To participate, you must add the Dual Play feature to your Powerball ticket by paying an additional $1 per play.
In Double Play, you play with the same set of numbers as in the main Powerball draw. Powerball tickets that include the Double Play feature can win prizes in both draws.
How is the prize collected?
Prizes must be claimed in the jurisdiction of the State in which the winning ticket was purchased. Usually players can receive a prize of up to $600 at any store licensed to sell lotteries in the jurisdiction where the ticket was purchased.
Prizes worth more than $600 can be claimed at select lottery offices, depending on the amount, as well as at lottery headquarters.
Tickets are usually valid for 90 days to one year, depending on the jurisdiction in which they are sold.. The expiration date is often listed on the back of the ticket. If no expiration date is listed, you should contact your state lottery.
The Powerball jackpot winner can choose to receive the prize in the form of an annuity, 30 payments over 29 years, or a lump sum cash payment. For an annuity, the annual payments increase by 5% each year.
A cash option is the amount of money that must be in the jackpot pool on the day of the draw to fund the annual jackpot prize.
What days are the draws?
The Double Play draw takes place after each Powerball draw. Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
