The head of the IMF announced the unfair distribution of benefits between nations

The globalization of the world economy has led to an unfair distribution of wealth between countries and peoples. The relevant statement was made by IMF Director Kristalina Georgieva.

“We must recognize that the benefits of globalization are not shared fairly between countries and people”– RIA Novosti quotes her.

Georgieva did not say what should be done to eliminate the inequality. Instead, she added that global supply chains need to be made more secure.

Earlier, she noted that according to IMF forecasts, this year will be difficult for the global economy.

Georgieva stressed that the world is responding to the consequences of the conflict in Ukraine. In addition, economic growth is negatively affected by the tightening of monetary policies around the world.
