Strong Footage: The footage shows Mexican police officers beating a homeless man for no apparent reason.

A video circulated on social media that quickly went viral and sparked outrage as it showed an attack on a homeless police officer from the city of Guadalajara, the capital of the state of Jalisco. The events took place near the welfare hospital, where the victim was sitting on the sidewalk.

The pictures are really painful, the recording shows how a man is sitting, two policemen approach him, a man and a woman, who, having told him something, for no apparent reason, begin to severely beat him. The officer kicks him in the face with such force that he falls, while a uniformed woman stands on the subject’s feet, who screams in pain.

As if that wasn’t enough they begin to attack him with a device that gives electric shocks, both the man and the woman attack him in this manner, with the victim unsuccessfully trying to escape. After the attack, he runs away from the place, and the policemen leave as if nothing had happened.

The Mexican media released a video that had previously been circulating on social media and sparked an undercurrent debate for years: Do the police really exist to protect society, or should people protect themselves from them?

Consequences

After the fact went viral, Guadalajara Mayor Pablo Lemus said that the identities of both police officers had already been established, and on his Twitter account said that there would be zero tolerance for an attack on a person on the street.

He also said that the Department of Internal Affairs of the Commission had filed a complaint for an immediate investigation into the facts. In addition, he reported that They’re looking for a victim to help.

As for the agents, he said they should “be available to testify in the investigations opened at the police station’s Department of the Interior and the Department of Public Administration.”

Finally, he pointed out that The maximum punishment they can face is dismissal from their jobs.without prejudice to the actions requested by the State Department of Criminal Affairs.
