Could be a kid: Media gave shocking detail about ‘leaking of secret US documents’

According to the Associated Press, the person who published the documents is a child who wants to impress within his group, not to reveal state secrets.

The man who “leaked” secret US intelligence about plans for attacks against Ukraine may have been a boy under the pseudonym “Lukka”. The Associated Press is writing this today, April 11.

The post claims to have spoken to a member of the Discord chat group who has “leaked” documents for several months. It is known that he is 18 years old, but he does not give his name as he fears for his personal safety.

The man said he contacted the media to clear the reputation of a third party using the pseudonym “Lukka”. He was the person who published the documents that made a sound in the information field of the whole world.

The Discord user added, “Lukka is just a kid. He kept sharing this to make fun of people.”

At the same time, the broadcaster does not say who first uploaded the documents to Thug Shaker Central. And it is impossible to control who this person works for and what interests he follows according to this data.

The interlocutor believes that the person who published the documents was not aware of the scale and did not pursue any ideology. Simply, for him, it was a banal desire to impress within his group.

The Discord user stated that he had copies of “over a hundred” pages of documents, which he threatened to leak if the “original source” were arrested.

Leaked US Secret Documents: Background

On April 7, it was reported that US documents regarding the Ukrainian Armed Forces counterattack were leaked to the network, forcing the Pentagon to launch its own investigation. While they do not contain any plans or dates for a counteroffensive, they can provide many clues to the Russian military command.

Later, Reuters reporters reported that the United States thought Russia had a hand in leaking “documents” on the Ukrainian Armed Forces counterattack.

On April 8, journalists reported that a new batch of documents had been leaked online.

We also recall that Bellingcat investigators learned of the approximate date for the “leakage” of the Pentagon documents on April 9th. Some files started appearing on Discord servers for players in January 2023.

Recall, on April 10, the United States announced that the Ukrainian military command had to change some of its military plans due to the leaking of confidential documents about a future counterattack.
