For the first time since the beginning of the war: Russian media announce a “Direct Line” with Putin

According to Russian journalists, the President of the Russian Federation will answer citizens’ questions on June 8.

The “Direct Line” with Russian President Vladimir Putin will be held temporarily this year on June 8 and will be held in Gostiny Dvor. This was reported by Russian media Baza on Tuesday, April 18, citing a source on Rostelecom.

“Already, company employees have started preparations to organize the broadcast and live broadcast points,” RosSMI said.

What is a Direct Line with Vladimir Putin?

During the Direct Line, Russian President Vladimir Putin answers questions from Russian citizens.

The last Direct Line 19 took place on 30 June 2021. Like the president’s big press conference in 2022, this event was also not held.

In February 2023, Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that the Direct Line format is still valid and the event will take place. However, the official did not specify the date of the event.

Recall, on April 18, Russian media reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the headquarters of the Dnepr troops in the Kherson direction.

From the video of the propaganda media, Ukrainian journalists learned that the headquarters of the invading troops “Dnepr” was located in the stolen recreation center of Rinat Akhmetov “Brigantine” on the Arbat Spit (a sand spit in the Kherson region).
