While patrolling a dirt road leading to San José de las Moras in La Barca, the military noticed an area where various animals lived.
Following a warning from the military, the Federal State Ministry requested that the said property be searched by the Federal Ministerial Police at the Criminal Investigation Agency, with the support of specialized experts from that agency.
“Two antelopes, a llama, 10 tigers, including three cubs, were detained on the spot; six jaguars, five lions, two red deer, two Harris’ eagles, one emu, three caracara birds, one raven, two pelicans, three vultures, nine redback parrots, one cacomix, four kramer parrots, two colorful parrots and two raccoons” , the Mexican prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
