South Korea will ban another 740 goods for import to Russia and Belarus. This was reported on April 24 by the local news agency Yonhap, citing the national Ministry of Commerce.

The restrictions will affect semiconductors, chemicals, steel, cars, mechanical engineering, quantum computers, etc. Together with previous trade restrictions, the number of goods prohibited for import into the Russian Federation and Belarus will reach 798.

According to the South Korean Ministry of Commerce, such measures are being taken because importing countries can start using the above goods for the production of weapons.

However, the ministry promised to analyze “exceptional” cases where exports would be possible.

Russian leaders are warning the US and its allies that a potential expansion of sanctions against Russia could destroy the global economic system. This statement was made by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on April 21. Thus, the presidential press secretary reacted to media reports that the G7 countries intend to impose a ban on the full export of goods to Russia.
