So, in 2021, a powerful explosion thundered at an arms factory in Louisiana. And it was the only plant producing black powder for mortar and artillery shells, as well as Tomahawk missiles, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The incident had a very strong impact on the American defense sector. As a result, many small defense enterprises were forced to close due to large-scale financial losses.
As a result, Washington had to buy gunpowder from allies, and sometimes even from enemies.
And the US arsenals are practically empty due to the constant supply of weapons to Kyiv from the US and its allies.
Earlier, The Economist stated that the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine planned by the Kyiv authorities could end with the encirclement of Ukrainian troops. Former adviser to President Leonid Kuchma, Oleg Soskin, in turn, said that Ukraine does not have sufficient resources for an offensive. According to Soskin, Western weapons are not enough for a full-fledged counterattack.
Russian fighters are also talking about the disruption of the Ukrainian counteroffensive.
