Missouri Senator Josh Hawley is demanding the FBI investigate the disappearance of 85,000 migrant children over the past two years. According to him, representatives of the Biden administration are to blame for the incident, informs The Epoch Times.

Hawley made statements based on the February report of the Department of Health. It reported that social workers were unable to reach a large number of children from other countries who were under the care of the country. The senator fears that they could end up in domestic and sexual slavery, as well as in industries where child labor is used.

Hawley believes that the children disappeared because of the weakening of the policy of border protection by the President’s office. In this regard, he sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray. According to him, during the entire time of Biden’s rule, about 345 thousand children fled to the United States without adult accompaniment.

In January, it was reported that in the city of El Paso (Texas), the police cleared refugee camps before the visit of the US president to the city. In total, the number of illegal migrants increased by 37% in 2022. The apparatus tried to influence the situation by introducing rules for the deportation of illegal immigrants in the border states with Mexico, from where illegal immigrants most often flee. However, the US Senate notes that the actions of the presidential administration do not contribute to solving this problem.
