European countries are facing another drought, which will lead to new conflicts over access to water resources. The publication drew attention to this Politico.

It is specified that the rivers that provide water to the Catalans and Italians are being depleted. And the inhabitants of several French villages were left without running water.

“The conflict over water has sparked clashes in France, where several villages can no longer provide their residents with tap water… Meanwhile, managing water and deciding who gets access to it is becoming a political issue across the continent,” – says the material.

The newspaper also cited a study “TU Grazusing satellite data. According to the company, European countries have been suffering from severe drought for five years now.

“Rising temperatures are making it harder to recover from this scarcity, leaving the continent stuck in a dangerous cycle with access to water becoming increasingly unreliable.”the publication said.

Europe needs a whole decade of heavy rainfall to break out of this cycle, experts say. But forecasts show a completely different situation – every year it rains less and less in the region.

Recall that the abnormal heat in Europe in the summer of 2022 claimed thousands of lives and ruined the crop.
